YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE

We’re looking for a CNC Machinist to join our Corporate Engineering Research & Development Lab in Easton, PA. Our lab is a 50+ person team dedicated to excellence in new product development testing, using state-of-the-art technology like 3D printing and 3D scanning to test products ranging from ¼" to over 100" in diameter — fire suppression systems that save lives, products that provide clean drinking water, and solutions that bring natural resources out of the ground to improve life every day.

In this role, you’ll machine and fabricate high-quality components and prototypes that keep new product and process initiatives on schedule, ensuring dimensional standards are met even when prototype specifications are still evolving. You’ll work closely with Engineering Design and lab technical staff, bringing creativity and precision to every build. This is an opportunity to put deep machining expertise to work on products used across industries worldwide.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN
  • Set up and operate machine tools — milling machines & machining centers, engine & slant bed lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, tool & cutter grinders, and cut-off/band/abrasive saws (manual and CNC controlled) — along with hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and depth gages.
  • Machine prototype components from 3-D model files supplied by Engineering Design and from Engineering blueprints, within specified tolerance requirements.
  • Apply creativity and self-direction to design, machine, and test prototypes and fixtures when standard methods don’t apply.
  • Determine the equipment and operating parameters needed to complete assignments — end mills, inserts, drills, reamers, fixturing, cutting speeds, surface finishes, and more.
  • Design and construct fixtures to aid the machining process, and perform bench work with hand tools as necessary.
  • Perform maintenance on machine tools, equipment, and the work area to keep the lab running smoothly.
  • Participate in the Quality Improvement Program through QWGs, MATs, CATs, and QIP problem-solving techniques.
  • Perform Technical Lab functions as needed, such as hydro testing, inspection, and pattern approvals.
  • Provide innovative input to Engineering staff to help meet program goals, work from written or verbal instructions, and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of eight years of machine shop or related experience.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading, assembly drawings, shop…
