Timpte is growing and looking for a CNC Programmer
at our BRAND NEWLincoln Manufacturing Center in Lincoln, NE. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing CNC programs for machining centers throughout the manufacturing operation.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Create modify, and maintain CNC programs for CNC machining centers using CAM software.
- Develop CNC programs from CAD models, and manufacturing specifications.
- Create and maintain setup sheets for machined parts, including work holding, tooling, offsets, program information, and setup instructions.
- Optimize existing CNC programs to reduce cycle time and improve overall machine efficiency.
- Evaluate toolpaths, feeds, speeds, cutting strategies, and machining sequences to improve run time while maintaining part quality and process reliability.
- Manage cutting tools for multiple CNC machines, including tool selection, standardization, inventory requirements, and tool usage.
- Assist with the development of CNC fixture and work holding methods for new and exisiting parts.
- Support program prove outs, first part runs, and new part setups at CNC machines.
- Troubleshoot CNC programs, tooling, work holding, dimensional issues, and machining problems.
- Review current production processes and identify opportunities to reduce machining time, setup time, tool changes, and unnecesary machine movement.
- Work with operators to improve CNC setups and ensure programs and setup documentation accurately reflects the production process.
- Maintain organized CNC program files and ensure proper program revision control.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
- Performs additional duties as assigned or required by the position.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical education in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, CNC programming, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of CNC machining or CNC programming experience required.
3.Strong proficiency with CAM programming software such as SolidCAM, or similar software. - Strong understanding of CNC programming, G code, toolpaths, and machine controls for HAAS.
- Experience optimizing CNC programs for cycle time, tool life, and process efficiency.
- Experience with multi axis CNC machining is preferred.
- Proficiency with Solid Works or similar CAD software is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with CNC operators, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production.
