A night on our packaging line
You’ll review batch records, set up a PLC‑controlled packaging line, and verify vision systems before the first carton runs. Throughout the night, you’ll monitor in‑process devices, adjust equipment, and complete concurrent documentation. You’ll keep the area spotless, suit up per gowning policies, and follow SOPs/cGMPs to the letter. When something looks off, you’ll pause the process, escalate appropriately, and help the team get back on track safely.
Schedule3rd Shift, Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 pm–6:30 am. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.
What you’ll do Operate and maintain equipment:
Run PLC‑controlled packaging lines and vision systems; set up and disassemble equipment; operate in‑process devices; clean equipment and facilities.
Handle materials:
Use electric/manual pallet jacks and hi‑lifts; stage supplies correctly; apply metric calculations to process needs.
Document accurately:
Complete timecards, batch records, and logbooks in real time.
Follow standards:
Adhere to SOPs/cGMPs, housekeeping practices, and dress/secondary gowning policies.
Prioritize safety:
Use lock‑out/tag‑out procedures; read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs); wear required PPE such as safety shoes, glasses, respirators, gloves, and hearing protection.
Exercise sound judgment:
Escalate questionable issues, follow written and oral instructions, stop for anomalies, and learn to identify out‑of‑spec material.
Collaborate and communicate:
Work effectively with peers and your supervisor; use teamwork‑focused communication.
Leverage technology:
Perform essential PC tasks to support operations.
What you bring
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret procedures; solid general math skills.
Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools.
Reliable attendance and the ability to meet the role’s physical demands.
Preferred qualifications
Technical school certificate or 1–2 years of college.
At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers.
Familiarity with Windows‑based PC applications.
Physical requirements
Use proper lifting techniques; stand for prolonged periods.
Routinely lift 20–40 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Climb stairs and ladders as required.
Work environment
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and product dust/particulate.
Exposure to loud noise and temperature variations.
