As a Social Media Intern, you will join our Marketing Department’s dynamic Social Media Team, contributing to design projects that span digital, print, and in-store experiences.

You will gain hands‑on exposure to brand strategy, campaign execution, and collaborative design processes, while sharpening your technical skills and creative problem‑solving abilities. This position is for a Summer Internship in 2026, located at our Corporate office in Ridgeland, MS.

Gain hands‑on experience in organic social media marketing, influencer marketing, community management, and brand reputation management. Work directly with the Organic Channel Specialist and Organic Social Media Coordinator to learn organic social best practices, while collaborating with the paid media, creative, and LOB strategy teams to understand campaign integration and broader marketing strategy. Contribute content ideas for C Spire and C Spire Business pages and our employee advocacy channels.

Assist with content creation across platforms and formats. Support day‑to‑day channel management, including post scheduling, community engagement, social listening, trend and competitor monitoring, and UGC discovery. Assist with content calendar planning and channel upkeep, including page audits and profile accuracy across platforms. Support influencer marketing research, outreach, and proposal development. Gain exposure to social media reporting and analytics. Build working knowledge of Hootsuite and major platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, Tik Tok, X, Linked In, Reddit, and Google Business Profile.

• Active enrollment in an accredited college or university, as a junior, senior, or graduate student in good standing.
• Pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field of study.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite on an Apple Mac platform.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
• Animation or video design experience.
• A demonstrated comprehension of the full design process.
