American Center Internship Program

Position: American Job Center Internship Program
The American Job Center (AJC) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals ages 16-24 to join our AJC Internship Program. Interns will gain hands-on experience in the local workforce, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop professional skills that will prepare them for future careers. We encourage those who are eager to get first-time work experience, individuals with justice-involved backgrounds, or anyone who may be facing an obstacle to employment to apply.

Internships are typically 30 hours per week and last around eight weeks.

Example Responsibilities:

* Assist department staff with day-to-day tasks and projects

* Conduct research and compile reports

* Support community programs, facilities, or events

* Participate in team meetings and/or peer workshops

* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Individuals ages 16-24

* Interest in public service and/or career exploration

* Willing to learn excellent communication and organizational skills

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* Professional attitude and punctuality
