American Center Internship Program

The American Job Center (AJC) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals ages 16-24 to join our AJC Internship Program. Interns will gain hands‑on experience in the local workforce, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop professional skills that will prepare them for future careers. We encourage those who are eager to get first‑time work experience, individuals with justice‑involved backgrounds, or anyone who may be facing an obstacle to employment to apply.

Internships are typically 30 hours per week and last around eight weeks.

• Assist department staff with day‑to‑day tasks and projects
• Conduct research and compile reports
• Support community programs, facilities, or events
• Participate in team meetings and/or peer workshops
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Individuals ages 16-24
• Interest in public service and/or career exploration
• Willing to learn excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Professional attitude and punctuality
