City Impact Literacy Program Manager

Believe in the power of reading to change a life?

What if you could help unlock a future of opportunity, confidence, and achievement for children who need it most?

As the Program Manager for our Literacy Program, you won't just run a program—you'll ignite potential. You'll lead a mission that equips elementary students with the skills, confidence, and love of reading that can shape the trajectory of their lives.

This role is an opportunity to cast vision, build momentum, and bring a dynamic literacy initiative to life. You'll guide strategy, lead implementation, and measure impact—ensuring every child we serve is given the tools to succeed not just in school, but in life.

Working alongside passionate staff, committed volunteers, and invested community partners, you'll help create a place where students are known, encouraged, and challenged to rise to their full potential.

This is more than a job.

It's a chance to open doors, inspire hope, and change lives—one reader at a time.

The Program Manager will oversee all curriculum and program-related components of the Literacy Program—an intensive, research-based reading initiative that mobilizes community volunteers to help students reach and exceed grade-level reading benchmarks. Through thoughtful leadership and collaboration, this role will help ensure that every child in the program gains not only stronger reading skills, but also the confidence and hope that comes with academic success.

But make no mistake—this is more than a job. We are looking for someone with passion. Someone with courage. Someone who believes that investing in the lives of children can change families, neighborhoods, and generations.

At Youth for Christ, we want leaders who are willing to step into the work with bold faith and deep conviction—people who will pour themselves into students, rally volunteers, and pursue excellence because the mission matters. If you want comfortable routine, this probably isn't the role for you. But if you want your work to matter… if you believe every child deserves the chance to read, grow, and flourish… and if you want to be part of something that ultimately points people to the Name above all names, then we invite you to join us.
