Office Administrator/ Coordinator, PR / Communications
The Foundry Community Foundation is a 501C3 nonprofit that exists to support, educate, and develop the purpose-driven communities of Lincoln and Nebraska. As a capacity organization with strong ties to the University of Nebraska, we are strategically located in downtown Lincoln, in support of the impact the capital city makes on our entire state. The Foundry Program Support Specialist will help us do our work better, for more Foundry members, through increased support of systems, services, events, and communications.
Volunteers will create our bi-weekly newsletter, add support and polish to our many events, evaluate and support facility growth, and provide program support in nearly every aspect of our operation. The Foundry is growing, and the VISTA volunteer will be a part of this growth so quality, and impact, are maximized. If you are organized, enthusiastic, team oriented, and strong with initiative and follow-through, this is a great role for you!
Duties
The VISTA member will strengthen Foundry’s organizational capacity by developing sustainable systems, documented processes, reusable tools, and organizational knowledge to support members, partners, events, facilities, communications, financial administration, and grant development. The VISTA will support organizational activities while identifying gaps and creating repeatable workflows, templates, procedures, and tracking systems that Foundry staff and volunteers can maintain after VISTA service ends. Member will document institutional knowledge through Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, templates, and training resources.
Staff and volunteers will be trained to use these tools, and resources will be organized for continued use and future onboarding.
