Pre Op/PACU RN – Saint Luke’s East, Lee’s Summit

The opportunity:

Saint Luke’s East in Lee’s Summit is seeking a Pre Op/PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care to patients with various conditions and acuity levels undergoing a range of procedures including orthopedics, total joint, sports medicine, GYN, urology, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, and some spine.

• Provides pre‑operative and post‑operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilizes the nursing process to perform patient care, delegate tasks, and supervise other patient‑care staff.
• Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health‑care team as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

Full‑time days. The position includes on‑call duties with a 30‑minute callback response time.

• Registered Nurse (MO) – licensed in Missouri (National Council of State Boards of Nursing/NURSYS).
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• 1 year of applicable experience in pre‑operative or PACU settings.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
