Job Overview

Saint Luke's East Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Cardiovascular Recovery Unit (CVRU).

Position: Registered Nurse – CVRU

Schedule: Part Time, 24 Hours per week – Nights

This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular and interventional procedures, as well as managing acute and critical diagnoses. The RN functions with a high degree of clinical judgement, accountability, and critical thinking while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
• Pacemaker placement
• Peripheral vascular procedures
• Interventional radiology (IR) procedures
• Respiratory failure
• DKA/insulin drips
• Post–STEMI recovery
• Other acute and complex cardiac and critical care diagnoses

• Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the multidisciplinary team.
• Delegates tasks appropriately.
• Identifies hospital resources.
• Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.

• Applicable experience:
  Less than 1 year
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Registered Nurse – Various Associate Degree
