Eventide Williamsburg in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Certified Medication Aid (MA40)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work 6p-6a. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation.
The Certified Medication Aid (MA40)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for enhancing the living experience for Eventide's Seniors/residents/clients by performing various care activities and related services as described and in compliance with the comprehensive care plan/service plan objectives. While doing so they will contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of Seniors/clients through respectful, professional, competent and personable interaction.
Essential Functions
- Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.
- Evaluates emergency situations, performing CPR when necessary, based on training.
Ideal Candidate
- COMMUNICATION:
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job. - PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 - pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Eventide's discretion. - AGE REQUIREMENT:
At least age 18. - EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. - EXPERIENCE:
6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred. - Credentials: CNA and MA-40 certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry required. If utilizing MA-40 certification, CPR is required. All certifications must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee. Must meet Eventide's vaccination requirements.
Compensation
At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $ 19-21.28 per hour for Med Aides based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
