Position: Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in Omaha, NE

Job Summary and Responsibilities

At the Saint Elizabeth Emergency Department we have state‑of‑the‑art technology that assists our expert staff in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating any type of illness or injury. We are a State of Nebraska designated Level 3 Trauma Center and one of the nation’s top hospitals for quick response times to heart attacks. In addition, we house a Pediatric Universal bed model unit that provides specialty pediatric care in a single room for all levels of care.

The Registered Nurse will deliver the highest quality patient care according to each patient’s physician orders, educate patients and families on prevention and healthy habits, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans.

  • Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
  • Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans
  • Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
  • Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
Compensation and Benefits

Base rate + shift differential.

Incentives:

up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years).

Tuition Reimbursement: $5,525 for full time and $2,750 for part time.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with top‑notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to effectively educate patients and families on the in‑home healthcare process.

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows practice in the state
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Specialty certification (e.g., PCCN, CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred
  • Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas
