Med​/Surg Nursing Assistant

Saint Luke’sEast in Lee’sSummit is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for experienced Certified Nursing Assistants, nursing assistants, patient care techs, or individuals interested in becoming a nursing assistant and providing patient care.

Those not certified or lacking applicable experience will receive six weeks of full‑time on‑the‑job training.

You will help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience. Our nursing assistants make an impact on patients’ hospital stay daily by providing individualized care in a positive and supportive work environment.

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Assist with activities of daily living and care such as bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation and positioning.
• Anticipate the patient’s family needs proactively.
• Individualize and modify care according to the patient’s needs.
• Collaborate with other health‑care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.

• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Team‑oriented, eager to expand skills, and possesses strong attention to detail.
• Less than one year of applicable experience acceptable with training; certified CNAs, nursing assistants, and patient care techs encouraged to apply.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, with night and weekend differentials for those shifts.

Full time, day shift positions available.
