Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Lincoln, Nebraska. This role involves providing patient care on an acute care unit with a focus on medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients. The position features a night shift schedule and supports a dyad model of staffing that includes a virtual nurse and nurse aide support.

• Schedule: Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 1 year of experience; valid license to submit; location within 50 miles; driver's license required at submittal.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with emergency or orthopedic care is advantageous.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit operates under a Virtually Integrated Care (VIC) model, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6/7 during shifts and a 1:30 ratio for virtual nurses. The team utilizes telehealth resources, including a centralized tele monitor station. The unit requires passing a pass/fail exam during orientation with a score of 90% to pass. Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas, and proper scrubs (navy blue) are required.
