Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist infusion and clinic nurses with patient care, clerical environmental and organizational tasks. You must be a graduate from an accredited CNA program, with the preference of one year of experience in a medical setting.

Key responsibilities Include:
- Patient Care responsibilities as assigned which may include: accompanying patients to infusion suites or patient rooms; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, collecting patient history, performing screenings per provider guidelines, charting, relaying instructions to patients/families, answering calls and providing pertinent information to infusion nursing staff.
- Clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include determining which medical records are required for patient visits, completing forms/requisitions as needed
- Environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include: setting up/cleaning equipment according to protocol, infusion suites, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control, ordering, sorting, storing supplies, restocking.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality
- Other projects/responsibilities as assigned periodically by Director of Clinical Services or Infusion Manager
- Collecting Mixing Room medications from the dock.
Education and Training:
- High School Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited CNA Program
- Successful completion of certification examination
Experience:
- Minimum of one year CNA experience
Requirements:
CNA:Certified Nursing Assistant
CPR: Current certification
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of specific assisting tasks
- Knowledge of and appreciation for a teamwork concept, clinic policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care as it relates to the Clinic area
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and other regulatory policies
Skills:
- Skill in customer service, communications, problem solving, organization and confidentiality (HIPAA)
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions
- Skill in computer keyboarding
Abilities:
- Ability to act in a professional and positive manner when interacting with patients
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, in writing and on the phone in the English language
- Ability to establish/maintain effective, cooperative relationships with physicians, staff, patients and their families

Environmental and Physical Demands
- Varied activities including sitting, walking, stooping, lifting, bending and reaching

- Occasional lifting, carrying and moving up to 50 pounds
