Medical Surgical Floor registered nurse (RN) position available on a hospital unit providing acute care. This role involves working within a dyad model, supporting patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic diagnoses. The RN will collaborate closely with a CNA and a virtual nurse, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6/7, with support from centralized telehealth services. The assignment features day shifts and requires adherence to specific policies and protocols.

• Schedule:
  
  12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, beginning on 09/28/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  BLS Certification; minimum of 1 year of experience; valid license to submit; location restrictions apply (candidates must be within 50 miles and not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with common health organization, including affiliated entities).
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with electronic charting and acute care environments preferred.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  The unit supports patients with a variety of medical, surgical, and orthopedic conditions. A charge nurse is present on each shift and may take an assignment. The unit utilizes a new VIC (Virtually Integrated Care) model with updated ratios. No titratable drips are expected, except for Heparin RT support. Telehealth services are available and used routinely on the floor, supported by centralized tele stations.
  
  Nursing staff will wear navy scrubs, and artificial nails are prohibited per policy. RTO requests should be made upfront for seven days or fewer during the 13-week contract.
