QA Sr Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations. Follows or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures and systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.

• Defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
• Builds and maintains the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
• Identifies and addresses any issues with equipment performance.
• Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
• Reports and troubleshoots manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
• Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.

• Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience.

• Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree.
• Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred.
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise; ability to identify and seek needed information; research skills; problem‑solving skills.

• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Must perform regular movement throughout GD‑OTS facilities.
• Must stand for long periods of time.
• Must work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operating machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift and may need to work outside normal business hours as required.
• Position is Safety‑Sensitive.

No or very little travel likely.
