Job Description

This Chemist position focuses on analytical testing of raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products in a regulated quality control laboratory. You will perform a wide range of analytical techniques using advanced instrumentation and data systems while ensuring strict compliance with CGMPs, Standard Operating Procedures, and global regulatory guidelines. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative chemistry lab that supports a growing manufacturing site and plays a critical part in releasing products to market.

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products using established test procedures.
• Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, and other relevant laboratory equipment.
• Use Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to acquire, process, and manage analytical data.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, company quality standards, and FDA/EU guidelines in all testing activities.
• Adhere to testing schedules to complete a high volume of critical work without compromising data integrity or quality.
• Conduct wet chemistry techniques such as titration and pipetting accurately and consistently.
• Perform accurate and thorough documentation of all laboratory activities, test results, observations, and deviations.
• Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Apply knowledge of human error awareness and prevention to minimize mistakes and maintain data reliability.
• Participate in investigations and problem-solving activities related to laboratory results, methods, or equipment issues.
• Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues to coordinate work, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate as part of a team in a busy QC laboratory environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to shared goals.
• Adjust priorities and switch tasks quickly when needed to meet turnaround times and deadlines for product release.
• Ensure laboratory areas and equipment remain clean, organized, and in a state of readiness for testing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory processes, documentation practices, and analytical methods.

• Experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory performing wet chemistry and instrumental analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with HPLC, including method execution and troubleshooting, required.
• Experience with GC and UV‑VIS instrumentation in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in accurate laboratory techniques such as titration and pipetting.
• Ability to perform precise and compliant documentation of laboratory work and results.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tests, samples, and deadlines in a high‑volume environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with lead analysts and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel for data recording, reporting, and communication.
• Knowledge of CGMPs, SOPs, and FDA/EU regulatory expectations in a laboratory environment.
• Working knowledge of the US and European pharmacopeia.
• Four‑year degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with two or more years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
• Ability to manage stress and maintain accuracy when working under strict turnaround times and deadlines.
• Capability to adapt quickly and switch tasks as priorities change in a QC lab setting.
