Job DescriptionThe analytical scientist position is a lab‑based role. The primary responsibilities include:
- Initiating analytical testing to support biopharmaceutical and vaccine product development and characterization.
- Purifying and characterizing polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies, and performing aseptic technique, cell‑based assays, ELISA, RNA/DNA extractions, PCR, automated liquid handling, SDS‑PAGE and Western blot analysis.
- Supporting senior analytical scientists in developing analytical methods, including HPLC, LC‑MS, electrophoresis, spectrophotometric and microplate‑based assays.
- Designing, executing study protocols and analyzing scientific data, while maintaining laboratory safety, aseptic technique and thorough documentation.
- Working knowledge of ELISA, cell culture, cell‑based assays and antibody purification.
- Proficiency with automated workstation equipment such as Andrew+, Biomek 4000 and Biomek NXp.
- Strong ability to multi‑task, prioritize, organize, and schedule a variety of analytical assays.
- Preparing detailed documents of experimental designs, protocols, procedures, presentations and reports.
- BS/BA in chemistry, biochemistry, biological sciences, veterinary science or related discipline with 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred: MS in a related field and laboratory experience in analytical development.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- In‑depth understanding of biochemistry and immunology, proven ability to develop analytical assays, outstanding problem‑solving and experimental design skills.
- Experience in cell‑based assay and ELISA development.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Self‑motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude, with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, and follow company policies.
Position is full‑time, Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Lincoln, NE are encouraged to apply.
