Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join our dynamic laboratory team. This role involves performing sample and reagent preparation, DNA extraction and isolation, and quality analysis prior to genotyping. You will engage in various molecular biology tasks and data generation specific to our platform technologies. Your expertise in using liquid handling automation machines, multichannel pipettes, and electronic repeaters will be crucial.

The role also includes generating and analyzing initial data from different laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation. Maintaining accurate records in laboratory notebooks, sample archives, and LIMS entries is essential, along with providing input on improvements to enhance laboratory efficiency. Calibrating instruments and performing troubleshooting as needed, following SOPs, and supporting ISO procedures with quality standards are also integral parts of this role.

Responsibilities

* Perform sample and reagent preparation.

* Conduct DNA extraction and isolation.

* Carry out quality analysis prior to genotyping.

* Engage in molecular biology tasks and data generation.

* Utilize liquid handling automation machines, multichannel pipettes, and electronic repeaters.

* Generate and analyze initial data from various laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.

* Maintain accurate records in laboratory notebooks, sample archives, and LIMS entries.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in laboratory and molecular biology techniques.

* Experience in DNA extraction and sample processing.

* Knowledge of genotyping and laboratory techniques.

* Familiarity with SOPs and quality standards.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, biology, or related sciences is preferred.

* Laboratory experience preferred, especially in molecular biology testing.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
