Purpose of the PositionServes the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone
Duties and Responsibilities- Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan.
- Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Assists with service line set up and restocking throughout meal periods.
- Serves menu options to students according to district recipes and menus.
- Provides excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ensures all meals are reimbursable according to USDA regulations.
- Ensures accommodation of dietary modifications and food allergies for students.
- Assists with accurate counting for completion of daily production records.
- Assists with cleaning and sanitizing service area, prep stations and dishes.
- Assists with receiving and putting away orders.
- Follows all Health Department standards to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Food Services experience preferred.

- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and use new software systems.
- Bilingual as required by location.

Working ConditionsOccasional in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours of work.
