Scooper Baristas to Shift Lead

Love Creamery’s scooper baristas are responsible for delivering on our promise to create a welcoming community gathering place.

We are looking to hire friendly, hardworking, and fun people to scoop ice cream, work the espresso bar, and quickly train into a shift lead position. Positions are available in Superior and Duluth. This role provides great service, consistent scoops and drinks, and good vibes during every shift. The barista rings up customers, keeps the shop clean, chooses upbeat music, and delivers delightful customer service.

These positions require a commitment of a minimum of 2 shifts per week in the Spring and 3-5 in the summer. We are hiring specifically for people to move quickly to a shift lead position, so applicants must be at least 17 years of age for these positions.

• Deliver excellent guest service and scoops every time
• Prepare and serve guests all menu items in accordance with established service and standards
• Process guest transactions of purchased menu selections at the register and receive/process payment
• Share what’s awesome about Love Creamery: our ingredients, our farmers, our local businesses, our people, our values.
• Hustle to keep the entire shop looking clean, great and fully stocked
• Maintain store cleanliness and follow all proper sanitation guidelines
• Complete opening and closing shifts tasks
• Complete inventory tasks, as well as receive and arrange delivery from vendors and staff
• Follow Love Creamery’s established safety, grooming, uniform, and employee conduct standards
• Other duties as assigned.

• 17 Years of Age or older and able to work late nights with previous work experience required.
• Must be able to work 2 shifts per week in the Spring and 3-5 in summer season.
• No more than 10 days total vacation days June
  -Aug.
• Ability to operate POS system
• Food handlers’ certificate (can obtain once hired)
• Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs. of weight
• Ability to access and navigate the production and retail facility
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability with ability to work at both Canal and Lincoln locations.
• Able to stand for eight hours at a time
• Willingness to pick up shifts
• Have access to a phone that can text and make calls and access to the internet
• Transportation to get to and from work on time
• Love Creamery is a tobacco free company, smoking is not permitted on the premises.

• Scooper Barista starts at $13/hour + tips starting wage with incremental, merit-based raises
• Shift Lead ($15/hour + tips) once skills and age requirement met.
• Immediate ESST both in MN and WI
• Paid Time Off after 12 consecutive months of employment and average of 25 hours per work week
