The Dining Associate performs tasks in multiple areas/functions within the Dining Center.

• Set up and close stations.
• Read recipes, prepare ingredients, and execute recipes.
• Re‑stock stations.
• Assist with inventory.
• Assist with cleaning and dish machine operation.
• Assist with monitoring cost and waste control.
• Ensure food presentation and quality (temperature, taste, appearance) meet dining standards.
• Assist with training of student staff.
• Operate computer for training, email, ESS, and related tasks.

• High School Diploma plus two years of University Dining Service experience; mastery of all Dining Service Associate tasks.
• Ability to read, write, weigh, measure as necessary.
• Flexibility, communication skills, team player essential.
• Ability to train and lead others.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 100 lbs.

• Pre‑Placement Driving Record Review Required.
• Physical required.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required, subject to DOT approved pre‑employment & random testing for alcohol, controlled substances.
• Criminal History Background Check required.

$15.00/hr
