NEBCO, Inc. d/b/a Quarry Oaks Golf Club (“Company”), needs 4 Temporary Kitchen Service Workers from 04/01/2026 – 11/30/2026 at 16600 Quarry Oaks Drive, Ashland, NE 68003. Work is full-time; at least 40 hrs/week. Golf course clubhouse is operational 7 days/wk with hours varying from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. based on weather and events. As such, work hours, schedule, and days vary from week to week.
Employees may work any combination of days and shifts Monday – Sunday, to average 40 hrs/wk. Must be able to work any shift any day of the week during operational times. Days off rotate, shifts vary, may work weekends and holidays. Company uses a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due; workers paid every week. Pay is at least $18.03/hr - $19.50/hr (higher rates possible based on experience or skill) with applicable benefits.
Workers are eligible for overtime pay of at least $27.05/hr - $29.25/hr, equal to one and one-half times the regular hourly rate for all hours over 40 in a given workweek, which may be available based on business needs (historic average is approximately 5-10 hours per week in peak of busy season). If requested by workers, Company will assist with securing adequate housing for the temporary season plus utilities in employer-owned and/or employer-rented housing at a rate of approximately $138.56 per person per pay period.
Company will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law, plus $138.56 per person per pay period for housing expenses for employees who choose them.
Summary:
Assists and performs general kitchen duties to support food preparation and meal service in a restaurant environment.
- Cleans food preparation areas and cooking services, takes out trash and replaces trash bags.
- Washes, dries, and puts away all dishes, drinkware, cookware, cutlery, and utensils.
- Cleans, stocks and restocks workstations, dining room displays, table condiments and other supplies as needed.
- Receives and unloads by hand deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Assists with food preparation by washing, cutting, peeling, slicing, pre-cooking, and/or packaging foods designated for cooking.
- Assists wait staff when needed by setting up, clearing, and cleaning up tables.
- Abide by customary sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Company will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job to workers at no charge. The costs of transportation (including subsistence and, to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment will be reimbursed upon arrival (subject to repayment to Company if the workers do not complete at least one-half of the employment period).
Company will reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, that are actually incurred by the workers (other than those fees primarily for the benefit of the workers). Upon completion of the work contract or where a worker is dismissed earlier, Company will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment.
The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28/day during travel to a maximum of $68.00/day with receipts. Company guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
