Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas, as well as lead product knowledge training for other associates
  • Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a high-quality customer experience
  • Manage inventory by running and analyzing Internal Flash Reports
  • Effectively maintain an organized backstock while ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and replenished on the sales floor
  • Ensures their product is accurately displayed to customers through price tagging, sales stickers, and signage
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere
  • Communicate professionally with other associates within the store, the Scheels Campus, and Vendors/Sales Representatives
  • Ensures their work area is clean, organized, and meets safety standards
  • Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages
  • Ability to work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Including product knowledge meetings

  • Be the Expert:
    Share your knowledge of SCHEELS products to guide customers in finding the perfect items for their needs.
  • Manage Your Section:
    Curate your department with top-quality products and execute displays that entice customers to stop and look!
  • Lead and Inspire:
    Train, mentor and work alongside your team to ensure everyone delivers exceptional service and shares your passion for our products.

    Experience:

    Build relationships with customers, helping them find the gear and giving the expertise they need.

Compensation &

Schedule:

  • Pay: $49,+/year (includes commissions on the items you help customers select, which means there is opportunity to earn more by exceeding sales goals)
  • Average

    Hours:

    41 hours/week. A typical schedule includes two opening shifts (9 AM - 5 PM), two closing shifts (12 PM - 9 PM), a consistent weekday off and alternating weekends.
  • Training:
    New product training monthly on some Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:30 PM to stay on top of the latest gear and trends. Individualized business training with your mentor each week to learn SCHEELS systems and run your shop at the highest level.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
