Employee Benefits Account Executive

Protecting Purpose for 100+ Years
At Ellerbrock-Norris, we don’t just sell insurance—we help people protect what matters most. As a fiercely independent firm with over a century of experience, we’ve built our reputation on putting relationships ahead of transactions and crafting smarter strategies for businesses and individuals alike. We’re on a mission to change the way people think about risk—and we’re just getting started.

Your Role: Trusted Advisor. Strategic Partner. Client Champion.
We’re looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our Benefits team and take ownership of a growing portfolio of client relationships. You’ll deliver high-impact, strategic guidance to businesses navigating the ever-evolving landscape of employee benefits. From renewals and compliance to cost containment and employee engagement, you’ll be the go-to expert who makes benefits make sense.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary contact for a defined book of business—delivering exceptional service, insights, and strategy.
  • Design and present tailored benefits plans that align with clients’ business objectives, budget, and workforce needs.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships rooted in trust, transparency, and value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and carrier partners to execute renewals, resolve service issues, and drive client satisfaction.
  • Stay sharp on regulatory updates (ACA, ERISA, COBRA) and emerging trends to offer proactive, future-focused guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts through cross-selling and referrals—because great service leads to new business.

What You Bring

  • A solid background in employee benefits consulting, insurance brokerage, or a related field—ideally with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Deep knowledge of group benefits plans, compliance requirements, and risk management best practices.
  • Top-notch communication skills—you know how to make complex info digestible (and even a little interesting).
  • A consultative approach—you listen first, think critically, and lead with value.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with a passion for solving problems and exceeding expectations.
  • Active Life & Health Insurance License (or willingness to get one ASAP).
Why Join Us?
  • A people-first culture that values collaboration, innovation, and work-life balance.
  • Competitive salary and commission potential—because great work deserves great rewards.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
  • Professional development opportunities—because we believe in investing in your growth.
  • A dynamic, forward-thinking team that doesn’t just follow industry trends—we set them.
