Job Description
The Gustave A Larson Company is looking for a key team member to join us as a Territory Sales Manager.
We are an HVAC/R wholesale distributor through the Great Plains region, including the Omaha and Lincoln, NE area.
Responsibilities- Maintain and grow a book of business – Develop new customer and dealer relationships within an assigned territory as well as maintaining and growing an assigned account list to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Customer focused – Serve all customers including dealers, business owners, large HVAC companies, and consolidators; maintain positive business relationships and deliver on promises to facilitate long‑term business.
- Strategy and planning – Set activity, account and territory growth plans on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
- Negotiation – Negotiate terms of sales, pricing, and agreements in a manner that is beneficial to both our customers and our company.
- HVAC product and industry knowledge – 2+ years of industry knowledge or the ability to acquire it is a must to facilitate selling and recommending the proper equipment for our customers.
- Business-to-business sales skills – Prior experience in B2B sales and territory management, continuous sharpening and acquisition of new sales skills required.
- Minimum of at least 2 years in sales, specifically in outside or territory sales, or B2B.
- Strong skill set in building relationships with business owners, listening, persuading, time management, and negotiation.
- Knowledge of B2B sales techniques, market development, and strategy.
- High drive to provide exceptional customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use Customer Relationship Management software and Microsoft Office.
- HVAC industry and product knowledge is a plus: 2+ years.
- Valid driver’s license/driving record.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
