The goal of the sales internship is for the intern to gather listings and sell advertisements from our customers across the industries Sandhills Global serves, including the construction equipment industry. The intern will learn about company products and business objectives, shadow other department members to learn sales strategies, and experience a quick sales process where many interns achieve success and receive commission in the first week after training.
The Intern will also become responsible for acquiring new and existing accounts and servicing current customers. The intern will learn and apply different sales techniques, develop advertisements for customers, research prospective advertisers, place sales orders, maintain sales records, and collect payments. Assume other duties as assigned.
Established Machinery Trader Sales Interns earn an average of $25/hour+ after completing training. Opportunities are available in other markets and industries as well. Internships at Sandhills Global can start at any point in the semester; new hires begin each week. Pick a start date that works for you.
Ability to commute to the local office when scheduled is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Interns should be able to work independently and communicate within a team environment. The role is results oriented and requires flexibility and openness to change. A stable and progressive work history and professional appearance and demeanor are expected.
Responsibilities- Gather listings and sell advertisements from customers across the company’s served industries, including construction equipment.
- Acquire new and existing accounts and service current customers.
