DoW SkillBridge Internship

Position Overview

As a DoW Skill Bridge intern for ALLO, you must be a military service member who is in good standing, entering the final 180 days of service, and is looking to gain skills and experience in the telecommunications industry. You will participate in the DoD Skill Bridge program, receiving on‑the‑job training and an internship with ALLO.

• Commit to providing an exceptional and hassle‑free, outcome‑oriented learning experience.
• Complete the military service contract and meet eligibility requirements for the DoD Skill Bridge program.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of telecommunications technology and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Work well in a team environment and support fellow team members.
• Adapt to new environments and situations in a fast‑paced, constantly changing industry.
• Demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Meet additional telecommunications industry requirements, such as holding a valid driver’s license or obtaining certain certifications.
• Maintain a positive, open demeanor and encourage diverse points of view.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed by the business.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently serving in the United States Armed Forces and in good standing.
• Approved by both the DoW Skill Bridge Program and Company Commander for program entrance.

• Military experience related to telecommunications, human resources, construction, IT, or marketing is preferred but not required.

• Service excellence in written and oral communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, make decisions, think critically, and facilitate presentations and training.
• High energy and engaging demeanor.

• Raise objects up to 25 lbs.
• Remain upright on feet for extended periods.
• Remain stationary for extended periods.
• Communicate information clearly.
• Crouch and crawl as needed.
• Bend, kneel, stand, and crawl in tight spaces.
• Ascend and descend a ladder.
• Carry tools and equipment and operate a computer.
• Operate hand tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Approved by DoW Skill Bridge Program and Company Commander to participate in the program.
