What You ll Do
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control guidelines, and other security-related policies, and/or assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the chain of command as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, waiting areas, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
  • Assist with visitor management activities such as directing foot traffic, supporting check-in processes as assigned, and helping maintain orderly public areas while documenting security-related observations.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
