This position is ideal for the hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring technicians, maintain high shop standards, and delivering exceptional service to customers.
If you are a seasoned diesel technician with 5+ years of experience working on heavy duty truck or agricultural equipment and are ready to be the team leader, this is your opportunity to advance your career.
Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
What You'll Do:
Shop Foreman Responsibilities
- Lead and support service advisors and experienced technicians
- Plan, train, and develop junior technicians
- Motivate technicians to continuously improve skills and performance
- Oversee diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Ensure warranty procedures are followed correctly
- Enforce safety standards and protocols throughout the shop
- Inspect and ensure quality of work prior to vehicle delivery
- Communicate critical information across the service team
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills on medium and heavy-duty trucks, including:
- Diesel Engines
- Brakes
- Electrical systems
- HVAC and A/C
- Steering and suspension
- Exhaust and differential systems
- Ability and willingness to learn new vehicle systems and technologies
- Capable of using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Ability to complete assigned training within required time frames
- Stays current on industry changes and best practices
- 5+ years of experience as a diesel technician (heavy truck or Ag equipment)
- Clean driving record
- CDL preferred, but not required
- Minimum age of 18
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to frequently lift 10-75 lbs with assistance
- Degree or certification in Diesel Technology, Diesel Ag, Automotive Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with International, Cummins, or Allison systems preferred, but not required
- Competitve Hourly Rate: $30.00-$50.00/hour
