What do our Pest Control Technicians do?

The primary purpose of this role is to provide industry‑leading pest management services for residential customers. Responsibilities include performing thorough inspections, identifying pest infestations, applying approved treatments, providing preventative education, building customer relationships, maintaining equipment, adhering to regulations, and safely operating a company‑provided service vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
  • Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
  • Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
  • Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand the product to new customers.
  • Ensure that all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
  • Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).
Essential Job Functions
  • Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, and narrow aisles.
  • Work around animals, insects, and termites.
  • Sometimes work around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, and scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
  • Work inside and outside in local climate in company‑provided weather gear.
  • Perform frequent movement: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
What do you need?
  • Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal the face).
  • High school diploma, GED, related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
  • Required licenses or certificates per federal, state, or local regulations (covered by us).
  • Availability Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
  • Openness to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
  • Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills—ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
  • Customer‑facing experience preferred.
