Role Description

The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Lincoln, NE. This position is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on boilers, burners, and related mechanical and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting equipment issues, inspecting components, completing repairs, and documenting maintenance activities according to company standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with operations and engineering teams to schedule downtime, support installations or upgrades, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

The Maintenance Technician may assist with parts ordering, inventory control, and continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and reliability.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining industrial equipment, ideally boilers or related thermal systems.
  • Basic electrical knowledge, including reading schematics, working with control panels, and safely using testing instruments.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as safe work practices in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as maintenance manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and safety teams.
  • Comfort with documenting work performed, maintaining accurate records, and following standardized procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, HVAC, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift moderate weights, and work in environments with heat, noise, and confined spaces, following safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, occasional overtime, and respond to urgent maintenance needs as required.
