Journeyman Electrician Substation

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full‑time Journeyman Electrician for substation work in South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. $3,500 hire bonus applies and per diem is available as eligible.

• Works under the general direction of the job foreman and other project supervisors.
• Performs power and control wiring of substation equipment and the control house in accordance with project drawings, details, and electrical codes.
• Installs substation equipment, conduit, and grounding.
• Assists or performs other substation tasks such as welding, pipe bending, concrete forming and finishing, erection of steel structures, and material handling.
• Work from all types of ladders and personnel‑lifting equipment in accordance with safety standards.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Completes other duties as directed.
• Travel required.

• Valid state electrical journeyman’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA‑10 certification or ability to obtain one.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test, MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.
