The Telecommunications Technician will keep systems updated and running smoothly, including new installations and ongoing support.

• Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including door access control, video surveillance, data/fiber optic cabling, and business phone systems. Service of these systems requires TCP/IP networking knowledge, server/ PC knowledge, infrastructure installation, and database programming in a Windows Explorer interface
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Provide training and support to end-users on system functionality and operation.
• Pull, terminate, and install low-voltage cabling.

• Low-voltage cabling experience, including cable pulling, termination, testing, and rack installation.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting or troubleshooting business phone systems, VoIP systems, or related technologies preferred.
• Familiarity with access control, video surveillance, and security systems is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to train and support end users.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving industry standards.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and reliability in daily work activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage documentation, schedules, and service records.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Ability to lift equipment, work on ladders, and perform hands-on field installation work.
• Desire to grow professionally and take on increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.

Entry Level

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
