What You'll Do:
- Assist with providing safe and fun recreation programs for youth and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, and mental health diagnoses.
- Supervise, assist, and interact with participants during day programs, evening club functions, summer camps, and week‑end classes and sporting activities under the supervision of Center/Assistant Directors.
- Assist supervisor with developing, organizing, and implementing activities.
* Driving participants to functions in a department vehicle is desirable and not required.

Compensation and Pay: Starting pay $16.00 per hour based on qualifications. Pay is issued by direct deposit only. Candidates must have a valid bank account registered in their name in order to receive wages.
* This is an unclassified (temporary) position and not eligible for benefits.
Schedule: 3-29 hours per week depending on availability. Day, evening, and week‑end positions available.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 19 years of age or older.

The Parks and Recreation department is FUNdamental to Lincoln.
Our team manages 168 parks, 185.9 miles of trails, 97 playgrounds, over 83,000 street trees, nine public pools, six recreation centers, five golf (and disc golf) courses, five dog runs, a nature center, and beautiful public gardens. Our programs include recreation summer day camps, before and after school programs, clubs and classes for individuals with special needs, adult and youth team sports, nature-based classes and events, swimming lessons, wellness and fitness classes for all ages, and a variety of free events and classes for all ages.
