School Bus Driver

Role Overview: A School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and related activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and fostering a positive environment during routes.

• Operate buses and commercial vehicles safely, following traffic laws and safety regulations
• Transport students to schools, events, and extracurricular activities
• Enforce behavior management policies to maintain order and ensure passenger safety
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and cleanliness
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchers, utilizing multilingual skills if needed
• Assist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs
• Maintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidents
• Follow all transportation regulations and safety standards

• Proven experience in bus or commercial driving; school bus experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff
• Mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs
• Experience working with children or in childcare enhances understanding of student needs
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred
• Multilingual abilities and documentation skills are advantageous
