Investment Consultant II – Merrill Premium
Base location:
Lincoln, Rhode Island (on‑site) and Riverside, Rhode Island (on‑site). The position supports Bank of America, Merrill‑Edge brokerage services.
As an Investment Consultant II, you will provide prospects and self‑directed investors with financial guidance and assistance, aligning investment products and strategies to meet their goals. You will manage client issues, conduct research, communicate solutions, and achieve high client satisfaction and relationship deepening through disciplined responsibilities. Candidates must meet SAFE Act registration requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide financial guidance to prospects and self‑directed investors, deepening existing relationships.
- Educate clients on investment products, services, and trading strategies.
- Deliver on performance goals by uncovering additional client needs and referring to business counterparts.
- Respond to general account inquiries and provide exceptional client service.
- Execute and confirm trade orders and securities transactions for self‑directed clients.
- Assist clients with brokerage consumer website usage and navigation.
- Research and resolve client requests.
- Maintain current knowledge of Merrill products, policies, and services; stay updated on financial markets and regulations.
- Series 7 and Series 66 or equivalent (Series 66 must be obtained within 90 days if not currently held).
- Demonstrated passion and interest in financial markets.
- Excellent customer service skills, active listening, empathy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi‑task in a dynamic environment.
- Basic knowledge of the organization’s products and services.
- Knowledge of financial markets and trading strategies.

- Technologically savvy and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to adapt and find solutions for customers in fast‑paced environments.
- Flexible to work assigned shift within center hours of operation.
- A desire for point‑of‑call resolution and focus on client satisfaction.
- Call center experience.
- Previous brokerage experience.
- 1+ years of financial industry experience.
1st shift (United States of America); 40 hours per week.
Pay & BenefitsHourly pay: $28.85 – $36.06 (determined by experience, education, and skill set). Eligible for a formulaic incentive plan and benefits. Benefit package includes industry‑leading benefits, paid time off, and resources to support employee growth.
