Location and hours ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Production Supervisor oversees day-to-day production operations to ensure processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role is responsible for supervising a team of production employees, monitoring output, and ensuring all products meet established food safety and quality standards.
- Assist with ordering and receiving materials, perform weekly cycle counts and complete month-end inventory reconciliations.
- Ensure all standard operating and sanitation procedures are followed in the production activities.
- Supervise everyday production schedules and assist in resolving all issues.
- Monitor production output and quality, making necessary adjustments to the process and equipment as needed.
- Supervise and perform equipment assembling, disassembling, and cleaning.
- Assigning specific tasks to individual employees and ensuring that they are performing their jobs safely and effectively.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure all food safety and food quality standards are met.
- Conduct daily production planning.
- Monitor inventory levels and leftover material quantities.
- Schedule and assign employee shifts, monitor employees time and attendance.
- Provide hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day operations.
- Develop and implement plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies (employee training, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems).
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
- Reports on production levels, employee performance, and other relevant data to upper management
- Other Ad Hoc Duties as required to ensure the business runs smoothly.
- Previous supervisory/management experience in a food‑processing facility.
- Solid knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP plant experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes (LEAN manufacturing, 6 Sigma).
- Knowledge of MS Office, & Excel.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated, cold climate.
- Full‑Time starting immediately at $23.00‑$25.00/hour
