Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various machines within the production process. They are required to set up, operate, process, and monitor production. The operator will also inspect parts to specifications and adjust or change tools as necessary to maintain quality. The role includes resolving minor component and quality issues to maintain expected production results.
CORE FUNCTIONS- Operate machines to ensure continuous production at a constant rate with high quality and minimal waste, performing basic adjustments for safety and efficiency.
- Perform in-process inspections of parts throughout the manufacturing run to ensure visual standards are met.
- Produce parts in the quantity identified by the production schedule.
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup.
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and timely according to specifications.
- Execute operational procedures to ensure the quality of packaged products.
- Follow and meet Key Performance Indicators for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
- Recognize defective materials for color, surface blemishes, finish, and dimensions.
- Identify the appropriate tooling required for pending production.
- Inspect molds and component parts for damage and wear.
- Inspect machines, conveyors, and tools; notify Lead when maintenance or replacement is needed.
- Keep work cell, department, and fire-doors clear of trash and obstructions to maintain performance and safety.
- Maintain work area to meet 5‑S standards.
- Communicate with team members and support teams.
- Maintain a professional attitude, supporting Leads, Supervisors, and Manager.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist wherever needed to ensure continuous, high-quality production.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Prior experience operating manufacturing, packaging, and process control equipment preferred.
- Apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

- Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
- Medium workload: exert up to 50 lb. occasionally and/or 20 lb. frequently, or 10 lb. constantly to move objects.
- Climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, repetitive motions.
- Require close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, expansive reading, visual inspection involving small defects or parts, using measurement devices, and/or assembling fabrication.
- Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
