Position Overview
The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests, determining their needs, assisting with selection and purchase of merchandise, and supporting the Sales Manager through performance, people, and process initiatives. The role requires passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, product knowledge, and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities- Contribute to store's retail and service sales goals, focusing on prestige category and iconic brands.
- Provide exceptional guest service: greet, personalize, recommend products, inform of promotions and events.
- Handle sales, refunds and exchanges courteously.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
- Book and support services and in‑store events to drive sales.
- Stay informed on industry trends, products and ingredients.
- Participate in training and development for product categories.
- Ensure compliance with Ulta policies, dress code, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain store operations: cleanliness, merchandise resets, planograms, inventory procedures, and technology usage.
- Promote the guest loyalty program and protect company assets through loss prevention.
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Cosmetology, esthetician or demonstrator's license when required by state law.
- One year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- Passion and competency for prestige products, guest service, and selling.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Strong communication and independent/team work skills.
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Attend corporate meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.
- Frequent mobility, standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting.
- Continuous lifting or moving up to 10 lbs.
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.50–$24.75 per hour, based on education, experience, shift, location and business needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime pay. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part‑time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life and disability benefits.
