Overview
Our Relief Residential Carers play a vital part in making our homes warm, nurturing and fun places for children to grow safely. Locally, this role is known as a Relief Residential Carer and it s ideal for anyone who wants flexibility alongside purpose.
Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements of RQF Level
6. Supported Accommodation - Grantham & Gainsborough, supporting 16-18-year-olds towards independence (12-hour shifts + sleep-in; lone working with regular team support). Children with Disabilities - Beacon (Grantham) offers long-term care;
Haven Cottage (Boston) & Strut House (Lincoln) offer short breaks. Lincolnshire Secure Unit - Supporting 11-18-year-olds through court or welfare placements with a strong focus on rehabilitation. We currently have Relief Carer vacancies at Robin House in Lincoln.
You don t need prior care experience—we provide excellent training and ongoing professional development. What matters most is that you:
- genuinely enjoy spending time with children
- want to help them feel connected, safe and supported
- have a warm, caring nature and a passion for children s wellbeing
- have basic IT skills and are happy to work towards a QCF qualification
- ideally hold a driving licence
If you can bring enthusiasm, humour, patience and empathy to your shifts, you ll fit right in. In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Pay & Perks- £17.41 per hour
- Sleep-in payments: £41.78
- Mileage reimbursement: 45p per mile
