Controller, Accounting, CFO

Lincoln Search Consultants has been retained by our client, a privately held organization in search of a Controller for their This role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and leadership of a small accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and management reporting
• Lead and develop a small accounting team (direct and indirect reports)
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Manage GAAP compliance, audits, and tax engagements
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
• Support ERP/accounting systems and upgrades

Qualifications

• CPA required, MBA preferred
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2–3 years of prior leadership experience
• Manufacturing / Distribution industry experience required
• Strong close, reporting, and analytical skills
