This is a Staff Accountant role for a client, a well-established public accounting and advisory firm, located in Lincolnshire, IL, offering a hybrid or on-site work arrangement. The firm provides comprehensive accounting, tax, audit, and Client Advisory Services to businesses across diverse industries, focusing on improving financial reporting, strengthening accounting processes, and enabling informed business decisions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to build experience in public accounting while working closely with a variety of clients.

Client Advisory Services team - Mission:
Support a diverse client base with accounting, financial reporting, advisory, tax, and process improvement activities. - Tech Stack:
Excel, Microsoft Office
- Client Support:
Support client accounting and advisory engagements. - Financial Reporting:
Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation. - Reconciliation:
Perform bank and account reconciliations. - Tax Filings:
Assist with business tax filings, including 1096, 1099, payroll, and sales tax filings. - Process Improvement:
Assist with process improvements and accounting system implementations.
- Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. This is an early career role focused on developing expertise in public accounting and client advisory services.
- Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience; relevant internship experience may be considered. Ideal candidates will have experience working with clients and supporting accounting, reporting, audit, or advisory activities. - Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting, strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong client-service orientation. - Bonus: CPA eligibility is required, and active CPA certification is preferred.
