We are seeking a Senior Audit Associate / Audit Senior to join a growing Audit & Assurance team at a well-established public accounting and advisory firm.
This opportunity is ideal for an audit professional with 3+ years of public accounting experience and at least 3 busy seasons of audit/assurance experience
, including at least one busy season working at the Senior Associate or Supervisor level
.
The Senior Audit Associate will perform and manage assigned audit engagements, work directly with clients and engagement teams, research accounting and audit matters, and ensure high-quality deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in and manage assigned audit and assurance engagements.
- Perform financial statement audit procedures in accordance with applicable professional standards.
- Plan and execute assigned portions of audit engagements.
- Prepare and review audit work papers and engagement documentation.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding audit requests, questions, and engagement matters.
- Identify, research, and resolve accounting and auditing issues.
- Coordinate with Audit & Assurance Managers and firm leadership.
- Manage engagement deadlines, priorities, and assigned responsibilities independently.
- Communicate engagement status, issues, and potential risks clearly and timely.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide a high level of professional service.
- Assist with special audit and assurance projects as needed.
- Work with clients across industries such as construction, manufacturing/distribution, technology, and M&A/business combinations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 3+ years of public accounting experience.
- 3+ busy seasons of audit/assurance experience.
- At least 1 busy season at the Senior Associate, Audit Senior, or Supervisor level.
- CPA certification or CPA eligibility required; active CPA preferred.
- Strong financial statement audit experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client-facing and relationship-management abilities.
- Ability to independently manage assigned audit engagement responsibilities.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting/audit software.
