Parts Pricing Assistant Manager – Hybrid | Lincolnshire, IL

This full‑time role is based in Lincolnshire, IL (north of Chicago) and transitions to a hybrid schedule after 30 days

The Parts Pricing Assistant Manager analyzes pricing performance, maintains accurate pricing data, and partners with cross‑functional teams to enhance profitability and advance key business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide pricing strategy and identify opportunities for margin improvement and market growth.
- Analyze gross margin reports, pricing trends, and cost drivers to provide data‑driven recommendations.
- Maintain and optimize pricing records, including pricing for new parts based on market insights.
- Build and manage competitive pricing databases to support strategic decision‑making.
- Review supplier costs, freight, tariffs, and other factors impacting margin; recommend pricing adjustments.
- Develop reports and dashboards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View) to communicate pricing insights.
- Prepare project documentation, track progress, and support cross‑functional collaboration.
- Recommend process improvements and support implementation of pricing‑related initiatives.
- Assist Parts Sales & Marketing leadership with pricing updates, research, and analytical reporting.
- Maintain organized data records, update spreadsheets, and document processes.
- Manage assigned projects and support other departments as needed.
- Follow company policies, maintain a safe work environment, and keep management informed of key activities.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; familiarity with big‑data processes and S4
Hana preferred. - Understanding of cost accounting and gross margin analysis.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; able to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in competitive market or business analysis within aftermarket parts or pricing.
- 3+ years of project management or coordination experience.
- 2+ years of experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Office‑based role with moderate noise levels; occasional exposure to warehouse conditions.
- Extended periods of sitting, with some walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, drive, and travel by air.
