School District 103 is seeking a 3rd grade teacher for a leave of absence from 08/24/2026 to 09/18/2026 (Job ). Additional transition days will be required and arranged between the candidate, teacher, and building principal.
Job SummaryProvide self‑contained classroom instruction at the 3rd grade level.
Minimum Qualifications- 3+ years teaching experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Illinois PEL License with an Elementary endorsement
- Meets state NCLB’s Highly Qualified Teacher requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Familiarity with Smart Board technology and tablets a plus
- Strong understanding of balanced literacy approach
- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience assessing student achievement and differentiating instruction
- Experience working with English Language Learners
- Experience working with Google Docs
- Experience supporting children in the use of technology
- Ability to learn new technology tools quickly
- Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Elementary Education K‑9 endorsement required
