4th Grade Teacher Leave of Absence

Job Title

School District 103 is seeking to fill 4th grade leave of absence teaching position. Leave will begin 08/24/2026 - 10/23/26. Additional transition days will be required and arranged between the candidate, teacher and building principal.

Provide self-contained classroom instruction at the 4th grade level.

3 + years teaching experience preferred Bachelor's Degree Candidate must hold a valid Illinois PEL License with Elementary endorsement required. Meets state's NCLB's Highly Qualified Teacher requirements Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point Familiarity with Smart Board technology and tablets a plus Strong written/verbal communication skills Strong understanding of balanced literacy approach

Experience working with the proposed age group Experience assessing student achievement and differentiating instruction Experience working with English Language Learners Experience working with Google Docs Experience supporting children in the use of technology An ability to learn new technology tools quickly

Candidate must hold a valid Illinois teaching Professional Educator License (PEL). Elementary Education K-9 endorsement required Experience preferred
