Job SummaryProvide self-contained classroom instruction at the 3rd grade level. Additional transition days will be required and arranged between the candidate, teacher, and building principal.
Minimum Qualifications- 3+ years teaching experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Illinois PEL License with Elementary endorsement required
- Meets state NCLB Highly Qualified Teacher requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Familiarity with Smart Board technology and tablets is a plus
- Strong understanding of balanced literacy approach
- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience assessing student achievement and differentiating instruction
- Experience working with English Language Learners
- Experience working with Google Docs Experience supporting children in the use of technology
- Ability to learn new technology tools quickly
- Valid Illinois teaching Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Elementary Education K-9 endorsement required
