Description:
School District 103 is seeking to fill 4thgrade leave of absence teaching position. Leave will begin 08/24/2026 - 10/23/26.
Additional transitiondays will be required and arranged between the candidate, teacher and building principal.
Job Summary:
Provide self-contained classroom instruction at the 4thgrade level.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 + years teaching experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Candidate must hold a valid Illinois PEL License with Elementary endorsement required.
- Meets state's NCLB's Highly Qualified Teacher requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
- Familiarity with Smart Board technology and tablets a plus
- Strong understanding of balanced literacy approach
Essential Functions
:
- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience assessing student achievement and differentiating instruction
- Experience working with English Language Learners
- Experience working with Google Docs
- Experience supporting children in the use of technology
- An ability to learn new technology tools quickly
Qualifications:
- Candidate must hold a valid Illinois teaching Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Elementary Education K-9endorsement required
